Summary: Position is responsible for routine cleaning of all areas of the building or specific sections.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Empty trash cans and replace liners. Wipe cans. Dispose of trash bags in appropriate area.
  • Sweep with broom and dust mop hard floors. Return chairs to positions.
  • Vacuum carpets. Return chairs to positions. Maintain vacuum by emptying bags and changing belts.
  • Damp mop hard floors. Properly prepare mop solution and empty mop bucket.
  • Properly dust and clean furniture
  • Dusting of high (ceilings, walls, lights, vents) and low (baseboards, sills) areas.
  • Properly clean and disinfect restrooms including all fixtures (toilets, urinals, sinks, counters, mirrors, etc.), partitions & dispensers.
  • Properly clean kitchens and break areas including major appliances (refrigerator, microwaves, etc.), counters & sinks.
  • Restock paper and soap products.
  • Clean glass doors and interior windows.
  • Maintain an orderly and stocked supply closet.
  • Maintain building security including setting alarms and responsibly handling keycards and keys as stated in key policy.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand up to 4 hours at a time.
  • Ability to walk up to five miles a shift.
  • Ability to walk up and down stairwells.
  • Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs.
  • Ability to push items, pull items, bend, stoop and reach overheard.
